I’m still away tending my inner garden, and taking some time to gather myself (see my last post here).
In the meantime, one thing worth sharing, one sentiment that has been re-affirmed for me: regardless of how tragic a situation, hope springs, eternal. It really does. No matter what or who is left in their wake, trauma and misfortune can breed hope for something better. And that is very comforting, indeed.
With much love to you all,
Anne xo

Beautiful post Anne. I love it for several reasons, but mainly because yesterday was the first anniversary of my Mother’s passing:
http://rosannefreed.wordpress.com/2011/07/26/its-the-end-of-the-story/
and when I read your post it was like a message from my mom, because she always asked “Is there any hope?”
Oh, Rosie, I just about melted when I read your reply here. I’m so touched (and grateful) that you would share something so personal. Thank you so much…and hoping the memories of your dear mother carry you through rough times and lift you even more through the good ones. ((hugs))
Inner garden. I like that. As the song goes, (Sound of Music) Bloom and grow forever…
